Turning to photography as a creative outlet during a valiant fight with breast cancer at age 34, renaissance10 survived and set up a photo contest to help raise funds for the Lavender Trust, a nonprofit that provides information and support to younger women with breast cancer. In the first two years, the competition brought in over £65,000 (that's $107,260.73 U.S.!), with entries from 130 countries last year. Renaissance10 recently joined LiveJournal to meet other passionate photographers and find supportive friends.

In honor of her grandaughter's health, Jeanna has decided to walk across the country (in the dead of winter) to raise awareness and build support for the bone marrow registry (all that's required is a cheek swab). So I just graduated, BUT, there's no jobs, oh the hilarity of it all.

I have decided to make a plan, I did a tamale fundraiser for this half marathon I did a while ago and it was a major success, so now I am thinking about fundraising so I can EAT and live of course.

Do you think it'd be a hit if I decided to sell tamales to students for 1.50 each? (dozens and half dozens may be available too.)

I'd start this project next spring and people can come pick them up at my house and stuff, would you like some? What do you think?

I'd be an ordeal learning how to make veggie but I'd make veggie if it kills me.
